Dessert

I don’t usually keep dessert in the house.
I like to think of it as self defense.
Last week my onetruelove was politely wishing for dessert.
Since he is my onetruelove, I made him a blueberry pound cake yesterday afternoon.

It is yummy.
It is easy.
I think some of you might like to make this too.
Take it to a picnic or a barbeque at a friend’s house.
You will be the dessert hero.
The recipe is from SaSa, my grandmother in Mississippi.

Blueberry Pound Cake
1 box yellow cake mix
1 8oz package cream cheese, softened
½ cup oil
3 eggs
1 ½ cups blueberries, rinsed and dried
Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together except blueberries. Blend until smooth. Fold in blueberries. Bake in a greased and floured bunt pan for 1 hour.
Hint: To prevent blueberries from sinking in the mix, lightly roll them in flour before adding them to the mixture.
