Morning Stream

I survived my first 2.5 year old public meltdown yesterday.
I rode in a minivan. It was awesome. I understand why they are so popular but I’m still not getting one.
Wait. Maybe I want a minivan.
NO. I do not.
What if I got fancy hubcaps?
NO. I do not want one.

It’s a little past 8am and one kid is still asleep and another kid is down for his morning nap. Oh, and my hair is done. I’m going to make some coffee.

Bubble Wall Art

I added bubbles to Luke's wall yesterday.

Supplies

Enter seafoam green.
Seafoam green is one
of the colors in the duvet.

Exit seafoam green.
Ick.

Awesome.

Have you tried decorating
a little boy’s room?
It’s hard work.
Why does all boy stuff seem
to be trains, planes, trucks, sporty, or dinosaury?
Or some tragic interpretation of plaid?

Maybe it’s me?
I’m not really a theme oriented person.
I might be to haphazard to be contained to a theme.

I'm Still Laughing

Luke.
2.5 years old.
"Hand me the cell phone. I need to text Baba*."

Me.
Not 2.5 years old.
Laughing hysterically.
"Here you go."

He fake texts his father
and hands the phone back to me.

Brew

Everyone in my house is napping. I’m going to do house chores. I might need an intervention. Or therapy. Or coffee. Take your pick while I press the brew button.

Breakfast

Can you guess what
book is at the top of
our list these days?

Two Under Three

I’m not sure
but
this might be a fair representation
of what life feels like with two children
under the age of three.

Stare at it long enough
and it kind of makes you queasy.
No?
Just me feeling queasy?
Maybe the fumes of laundry detergent
are making me queasy.

My name is Camille and
I will not be undone by mere laundry.

Afternoon Summer Snack

Grown within 10 miles
of my house.

Uncomfortable

Uncomfortably close to my front door.

A Post-lunch stroll on the plaza.
Harmless.
Mostly.
Careful if the 2.5 year old hears music.
He just might start dancing.
And make you dance with him.
You might find it a tad embarrassing if you aren’t a seasoned professional.

A short video of the little jig.

Embrace the Morning

Our kids are early risers.
We have a new strategy to embrace early morning risers.
We pile our kids in the car
as quickly as we can get them in the car
and do something.
I’m talking in the car between 7:30am-8:00am on the weekend early.
Three day weekend.
Two early morning adventures.
Two different parks.

Park #2

My name is Camille

Backyard Animals #6201

Not every animal in our backyard is creepy.
