I can’t cobble together
two consecutive days
of a healthy family.
At least one person has
been sick since December 4th.

Cough.
Ache.
Sneeze.

February 2011,
good-bye forever.
During 2-2011
every member of my family
was stricken with a nasty stomach virus,
and both my boys had separate colds
and so did my onetruelove.
I may have been sick too, but I don’t remember.
No time for the mother to be sick if everyone else is sick!
So good-bye forever.
